Who’s single trip travel insurance for?

One-off trips

Even if you’re only away for 2 or 3 nights, insurance can take away the stress of things like minor accidents or delays, or something more serious. We’ll cover you if there’s a medical emergency, if a hotel provider goes bust, and more.

Longer trips

For trips up to 90 days, know that you’re covered all the way. As long as your trip starts and ends in the UK, you’ll get the same great cover, customer service and claims support day in, day out. Maximum trip length is 42 days for travellers aged 60 or over.

How does single trip travel insurance work?

1. Booking a trip

Just as you buy plane or train tickets before you go, you’ll need to buy your insurance before you travel too.

It doesn’t matter if you buy your tickets or your insurance first, though.

2. Let us know who’s travelling

When you buy your insurance, tell us the details for anyone you’d like to be a named traveller. The maximum trip length we’ll cover is shorter for those aged 60 or over.

It’s important to give us detailed information about any medical conditions for all named travellers, and contact us to update this information whenever it changes.

3. Check your policy before you travel

Just before you go, you’ll need to make sure the cover is still suitable. Check details like how long you’ll be away, any changes to medical conditions and what’s the latest government advice for your planned destination.

You’ll need to read your policy for full details.

4. If you need to make a claim

It’s easy to claim online. You’ll just need to tell us what happened.
