free turkey protection

In December 2015, customers who lived within three miles of Direct Line's kitchen facilities were given the chance to sign up for "free turkey protection".

This meant that if their traditional turkey wasn't roasted to perfection on Christmas day - whether it was undercooked or bone dry – they could contact us for a replacement bird cooked by professional chefs.

We then delivered it directly to their doorstep, showing that we weren't just about fixing home and motor emergencies over Christmas, but turkey disasters too.
